This is a quote from the very wise, Simon Sinek. (I follow him and you should too!)

Have you ever thought of leadership:

• as a promotion?
• a way to make more money?
• help you feel accomplished?

If you said yes to any of the above, then you've lost sight of what leadership is all about.

Now before you get your knickers in a twist, I believe it is okay to want a promotion, make more money, and feel accomplished.

Just don't make any of those your primary motivation.

You are serving the mission and vision of the organization through your leadership of a team. Remember that, live it, and teach it to others and you will be golden.
