Hello Jeanne!                        (click here to download audio)

"...follow my dreams even if others are uncomfortable."

That was one of the many comments on the survey last Fall.

Why is it difficult to follow our dreams when we know others may feel uncomfortable?

  • People pleaser.
  • Avoiding conflict.
  • Believing we aren't good enough.

These are just some of the reasons we put others' needs ahead of our own.

I used to think "Love your neighbor as yourself" meant I needed to be selfless and take care of others.

Then I realized I wasn't really loving myself when I didn't fulfill my needs.

So, I wasn't loving my neighbor either.

It was a lose-lose situation.

That's why I was so happy to read the comment on the survey,

"...follow my dreams even if others are uncomfortable."

Wow! This takes a whole lot of courage!

When you continually say yes to others and no to yourself, you create a river of anger. Eventually, this anger builds into a rock of resentment.

Now, rocks of resentment aren't pretty river rocks.

They can create serious emotional, mental, and physical problems.

So, what dreams have you not pursued for fear of others' reactions?

Let me know. I would love to support you.

More on saying yes to saying no next week...

In the meantime,

Be. Here. Now.
